Common Errors

Tracks show “file not found”
briDJe keeps the original path from your DJ software. After moving music, open Settings → Library → Missing files and use Recheck connected drives, Locate audio file, or Find other tracks in this folder. Adding a folder path alone doesn’t guarantee a relink. Details in Settings and Recovery.
Blank or gray waveform
Check that the file is mounted, the path is right and the codec decodes. Load the track and run Analyze Track from its context menu. Read Activity for the error. You don’t need to reimport; that could cost you edits (Preparation and Reimport).
Import finds no tracks
- Traktor: choose
collection.nml, not the folder. - Rekordbox: open Rekordbox once first, and use the XML export as the import hint says.
- Serato: choose the
_Serato_folder containingdatabase V2andSubcrates, not the music root. - Engine DJ: choose the
Engine Libraryfolder itself.
Export is blocked
Open the Preview export and fix every error. Frequent causes:
- A track’s BPM and grid BPM disagree (Beat Grids).
- Two cues or loops share a pad (Hot Cues).
- The scope has more than 15 unique tracks on the free tier.
- The target changed since the preview, so you need a fresh one.
- Serato tag writing is blocked for an OGG or WMA file.
Scope follows playlists, not the rows you highlighted (Exporting and Backups).
”Permission denied” on export
Close the target DJ app first. Two apps shouldn’t write the same library.
Export succeeded but nothing changed
Check you wrote where the DJ app reads. Rekordbox doesn’t read briDJe’s XML automatically: import it manually, since briDJe never writes master.db. Serato cues and grids appear only if you gave audio-tag consent and the files are the ones Serato references.
License activation failed
Activation needs a network connection. Paste the key exactly as issued. If the device quota is used, deactivate another device online; offline slot release isn’t guaranteed. See Settings and Recovery.
